product owner

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join the team and work as part of our multi-disciplinary web and mobile development teams for our client in financial service. The Product Owner is a member of a Scrum team and works daily with developers and testers to elaborate and explain user stories and directly help the team meet its sprint objectives.

The Product Owner is a key client-facing role who has a close relationship with Business Owners from the client’s organization (e.g. Online Journey Managers, Business Developers, Product Managers, etc.). The purpose of the Product Owner is to work daily with developers and testers in an agile Scrum team to meet the team’s objectives. The Product Owner has sufficient business domain understanding (understanding of customers/users, the marketplace, the competition and of future trends) and knowledge to provide engineering teams with the business context, user stories, use cases and business models so that the teams can plan, estimate and execute their development work. The Product Owner is responsible for the overall enhancement of the content and quality of the scrum team and provides input to support the scrum team in resolving issues. The Product Owner is accountable for ensuring that the product being built delivers value to the customers.

This is a very collaborative, team-based role that requires a close working relationship with other Product Owners, Architects, and creative and technical team members contributing directly to ensuring that product features are elaborated into user stories that are developed, validated, and released in potentially shippable increments. Importantly, this role is key to supporting and enabling the client-side Product Owner with timely issues and requirements to ensure that the scrum team runs and delivers smoothly.
