BrandPit & PinkGellac: the power of doing it together!

As it is often the case at BrandPit, Marieke Gerrits-van Mil and BrandPit have been working together for quite some time. Initially placed as a candidate at G-Star, Marieke later became a client at the same company. She is now the CDO at the rapidly growing scale-up PinkGellac. When she started, she had a small team, yet with tremendous ambitions. To make quick progress, she reached out to BrandPit. Now, about a year and a half later, we proudly look back with Marieke on our partnership.

how did you experience the start of PinkGellac?

“I sensed an enormous passion & drive in everyone when I started at PinkGellac. A digital-first company with huge growth ambitions requires people with digital expertise to achieve these goals. I had little time to set up the entire recruitment process, so I contacted BrandPit due to my positive experience with them. We immediately started filling the key positions in the team. We ended up quickly filling eight roles within the digital team.”

how do you feel about our collaboration?

“I find working with BrandPit very pleasant and professional. Quick response, open conversations. What I appreciate is that I don’t just hand over a role to you. You are truly a sparring partner and ask a lot of questions like: Why do you need this person? What are your future plans? What kind of person do you need? This is really helpful, especially since you have a strong understanding of the talent available in the market and how it matches our needs. Based on those conversations, we have also often refined the profiles. It really feels like we’re doing it together; you’re almost like an extension of me. You fully understand PinkGellac, know the strategy, and know what fits at that moment. Together, we have managed to bring in a lot of digital talent.”

what do you think makes BrandPit different?

“You relieve me a lot with a solid pre-selection. You don’t send over 50 CV’s that I still have to sift through; sometimes, you only present two candidates. I know then that you are really convinced about the people you have selected. The candidates I speak with are also very well-prepared. They already know what the role entails, what the company is like, and what the strategy is. They match well in terms of personality and type with our culture. They come here for the long term, so it’s also sustainable. I fully trust you in the recruitment process, and it greatly eases my workload.”

PinkGellac was founded in 2013 at the kitchen table with the mission that gel polish should be accessible to everyone and easy to apply from home. Today, it is one of the most influential and popular gel polish brands in the Netherlands.

Since the end of 2022, BrandPit has filled eight roles for PinkGellac, and they continue to work together to bring in digital talent.
