The Marketplaces team consists of 4 colleagues, and you will be joining this growing team as a marketplaces specialist. This means that there are plenty of challenges in which you can apply your expertise and there is also plenty of room for self-development. what will you do?

As a Marketplaces Specialist, you will be responsible for developing further success by growing sales on European marketplaces such as Amazon. You will be responsible for setting up listings, creating and monitoring campaigns, price optimization, and content creation which includes product content, A+ content & setting up brand stores. Furthermore, you are usually kept busy with monitoring and analyzing marketplace metrics and sales, which includes monitoring product pricing, customer feedback, and marketplace health. Together with the other colleagues in the Marketplaces team, you will set priorities to improve.

In your role, you will work with your own team and many different departments. For example, you will work closely with the supply chain analyst for input on stocks, and the product information management team ensures the delivery of the correct product information. This enables you to fine-tune and adjust the digital sales processes to ensure that all our brands can grow online on our marketplace channels.

As a Marketplace Specialist, you will also conduct research and identify the growth strategy for other marketplace channels within Europe. This includes identifying logistical needs, pricing, and issuing advisory reports for internal stakeholders.
Finally, you will participate in projects related to order automation, ensuring a flawless connection to the supply chain and external warehouses. It is therefore important that you have experience with stakeholder management and process management.

where will you be working as a marketplaces specialist

You will be working in our brand-new office in Almere, which we moved into in June this year. Our building is in the top 5 of most sustainable buildings in the world and we are proud of that. The Marketplaces team is a startup department, which falls under the central Digital Marketing team. Tim is the cooperating foreman of this startup department and will be your coach to guide you in your role. He will do this by giving you the confidence and responsibility you need to fulfill this role. Self-development and self-starting are central to Tim and he is always willing to help you with this.

what we expect from you as a marketplaces specialist

You are a self-starter with a hands-on mentality who is driven by customer insight and enjoys taking on a challenge. You are continuously working on development and innovation. You like to do all this in an organization that is very open to change. Your success in this role is determined by your pioneering mentality, proactive attitude, and ability to connect with people. You also have:

  • a bachelor or master’s degree (in marketing)
  • an excellent command of English and at least 1 foreign language, such as German or French. Dutch is not a requirement.
  • experience with online marketplaces for the B2C market and understanding of the mechanics of all back-end tools, processes and systems.
  • experience with advertising on marketplaces
  • you love working in an unstructured and complex environment allowing you to have influence over the structure of your work and department
